From 13 January, Sherburn residents can pay for their licence for the 2026 garden waste collection service. A licence costs ?52 for collections between March and early December. The licence covers one 240-litre wheelie bin to be emptied fortnightly. Anyone who wants to have more than one bin emptied, will need to pay for a licence for each additional bin. |

Seven young students from Stagecoach Performing Arts Garforth and Wetherby have appeared in the latest series of Channel 5?s Animal Care Club, filmed at locations across Yorkshire. The children were selected to take part after submitting headshots and self-tapes, and went on to help care for pets, farm animals, wildlife and zoo animals. The successful students, aged 7-9 and from Garforth, Micklefield, Rothwell, Methley and Wetherby, assisted vets and animal carers at sanctuaries, wildlife centres and farms across the region learning first-hand how to care for animals while being part of a national TV production. |
